Our Critical Cause
Our critical cause is to make true lasting change that helps save the planet.

Let’s tackle plastic waste together.
At its heart, you’ll find that Tru Earth is more than just a brand—it’s a movement (#TruEarthMovement). Our team stands alongside millions of like‑minded people in over 82 countries, taking on the 645 billion plastic household‑product containers that end up in landfill or drift in our seas each year. For every 20 Tru Earth Eco‑Strips you buy, we stop one plastic container from entering landfill or the ocean. As we often say, many small hinges can swing a very, very big door. Thanks for joining us in our mission to rid the planet of plastic waste.

Your Purchase Helps People
Our donation programme began during the COVID‑19 pandemic, when household supplies were in short supply and aid organisations were struggling to ensure everyone had clean laundry. We answered the call for help and got to work. Since then, we’ve supported more than 800 organisations—including food banks pushed to breaking point, maternity programmes in the Global South, and women’s shelters and charities across Canada and the US. We simply couldn’t have made such a big difference without our customers—our #TruChangeMakers. With every subscription purchase, we donate enough strips for 32 washes to communities in need around the world.

"It is through contributions like yours that we are able to provide clean clothes for our students here at The Other Side Academy. With this donation from Tru Earth, we will be able to do 3,300 loads of laundry for our students. The Other Side Academy's mission is to save lives by changing behavior. We are a 2 1/2 year self-sustaining, residential vocational and life skills training program for men and women determined to break their cycle of long-term criminality, substance abuse, homelessness, and dysfunction. We accept students regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, or ethnicity."

#ChangeMaker Stories
Tru Earth has donated an incredible 3 million laundry strips to Daily Bread Food Bank since November 2020. We are so thankful that we can distribute this necessity to our 128 member agencies across Toronto.
Hunger is not a food issue, it's a poverty issue. After paying for housing, Toronto food bank clients have a median of $8.01 left per person per day to spend on all other needed items, including food and transportation. That is why we are so grateful to Tru Earth. By providing millions of strips to food bank clients, they are lightening the financial load for tens of thousands of individuals and families across the city. Thank you so much for your help in not only fighting landfill waste, but also fighting poverty!"
